FCI actively supports technicians pursuing the ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) credential. CCT is recognized industry-wide as a measure of foundational competency in calibration metrology — including measurement science, quality control, technical knowledge, traceability, and uncertainty.
We provide study time, reference materials, NCSL International workshop support, and exam fee reimbursement for technicians on the CCT track. NCSLI is the calibration industry's leading professional association, and FCI is an active member.
Veteran & PMEL/TMDE preference
FCI gives a hiring preference to military veterans, especially those with PMEL (Air Force Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) or TMDE (Army Test, Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment) backgrounds. Many of our most accurate, defensible calibrations are performed by veterans whose training originated in DoD calibration laboratories.
CCT and PMEL/TMDE backgrounds count toward our internal proficiency-verification track and toward eligibility for senior technician and lead technician roles.
